Clean house, comfortable beds, pristine pool and hot tub, and fully equipped kitchen for a large group. Loved the relatively easy access to the beautiful beach and convenience of the covered gazebo near the beach. Minor inconvenience was the lack of chairs on 2nd and 3rd level decks, and elevator was occasionally tricky to operate. We enjoyed our week very much!

We had a wonderful stay overall and truly loved this house. The location was fantastic, with easy beach access, a great swimming pool, and plenty of room for our large group to spread out comfortably. It was also very convenient to local stores, shops, and restaurants, making everything we needed easily accessible. The only reason for the 4-star rating instead of 5 stars is the water pressure and hot water issues. The house advertises 9 showers, but only about half of them were really usable during our stay due to extremely low water pressure. Even in the showers that were functioning, it was difficult to rinse shampoo out of your hair because the water flow was so weak. In addition, the water never seemed to get truly hot, making showers less comfortable than expected. This was a significant inconvenience for a large group trying to shower and get ready after a day at the beach. Aside from the water pressure and hot water concerns, we thoroughly enjoyed the home. The house itself was beautiful, spacious, and in a great location, and we would consider staying here again IF those issues were addressed.

we really enjoyed our stay, the house was nice and suited us perfectly, we had a major safety concern with the house though, the handrails on the very top deck are extremely loose we wouldn't even let the kids out on it. our pool was not cleaned upon arrival or during our trip. other than that we had a great stay, thank you

Loved the location. Close to the beach. Swimming pool and hot tub a bonus! Lots of room for our family. The elevator was great when u didn't want to walk up 3 floors of steps! We had a great time.

Our family of 21 (17 adults and 5 children) stayed August 16-23. We enjoyed family time, the beach, and the pool! The home is in a great location if you are looking to relax and play on the beach! The home is a great size and offers some nice amenities but maintenance is needed! The patio door in the game room does not slide well. The Hot tub and pool area had a lot of sand. The ice makers were needing to be defrosted in order to work. Broken cupboard door in the kitchen. Dishwasher didn’t clean well. Carpets need replacing. Amenities were good but could have been better. The WiFi was bad. There was no bottle opener, the can opener was broke, no chalk for the pool cues, the mattresses on the bunk beds were uncomfortable and not good quality. It would have been nice to have some beach towels for use as well. Limited household items such as dishwashing soap, paper towels, trash bags TP, kitchen towels, no kitchen washcloths, are provided. This is fine if you are driving to the beach but we flew in from another state so we had to purchase a lot of things and then had to leave them at the house when we left. Overall the home was the perfect size for our large family and the sleeping arrangements. We enjoyed our stay, and the price was right compared to other homes available.

We ended up in this house after our original house was not available. Based on reviews, that does not seem unusual. While we were grateful to have a house that (mostly) met our needs, and for a substantial savings,we were concerned about a lack of maintenance in several areas. The boards on the boardwalk to the beach are on the verge of snapping. There are several that are loose and extremely loose and bowed when you walk on them. For sure a safety hazard. There was no cold water in the outside shower which meant it was scalding hot at all times. In addition, the shower door does not close all the way and the handle came off in my hand with rusty screws falling out. Several rusty screws were found on the pool deck and the other decks. The mattress in the smaller bunk room on the bottom was not good -- squeaky and not flat. Hot water in the house did not last for more than a few showers which was dicey in a house with 8 bedrooms. Overall, we had a great stay and were grateful to have a house to stay in after our original house had electrical problems. […] The king beds were comfortable and the bathrooms, while needing some updating, were adequate. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking.

The house house is wonderful. Some maintenance is highly recommended especially the water facets around the pool. It would lower the amount of sand being tracked in. But thank you for the use of your home. PS little to no hot water on floors 2 and 3 during the mid day but worked well at late evenings.

We were thankful to have a house on the ocean after several interactions with staff. 4 days prior to arrival our house was switched to a house of the staffing choice, when asking for similar properties the amenities were different. The day before arrive our house was switched again! I had to speak to managers to get a house remotely similar to our original booking. Upon arrival we were happy that the house provided linens, some of the white towels had pink stains, but that was okay because they were provided. The kitchen was stocked very well. Once we went to shower we realized that the water was not turned on and there was only hot water for one room of the house. It took 4 days to get hot water. The hot-tub was green and never cleared up. Additionally, the outside shower never worked. Staff required someone to be at the house when people worked the first day it was nice to get a 10 minute notification but after that it was a two hour time allotment, meaning someone always had to be there and we had to change our plans.

Enjoyed the relaxing stay at the house. Would definitely go again.

Air conditioner did not work on middle floor which was very uncomfortable for guests on that floor. Other than that everything was great.

We have stayed at this property in the past and had wonderful experiences, but unfortunately, our recent stay was a major disappointment. The property has not been maintained and has fallen into disrepair, with cleanliness and basic functionality lacking throughout the house. Several amenities, including TVs, appliances, and the pool area, were either broken or poorly maintained, making our stay far from the relaxing vacation we expected. Given the cost, we were very disappointed and hope to see significant improvements before considering another stay.

We had an amazing week with family. The home is so spacious and there is plenty of beds and bathrooms for everyone. The king beds are so comfortable and the pillows are amazing! The pavilion and beach access is amazing and so convenient. We loved dining right next door and enjoying the live music most nights! There are a ton of sand toys and floats that have either been left behind by prior guest or offered by the owner, which was so nice! This house is beautiful but really in need of some improvements. The TV upstairs was incredibly difficult to navigate […] The wifi is spotty and pretty weak anywhere but on the top level therefore the other TVs are touch and go for streaming. All decks are splintering and have several rusty nails sticking out so wear your shoes or flip flops. I wouldn’t count on using the pirate ship as a playspace for children, it was in pretty rough shape. The air hockey table is broken […] The pool was broken when we arrived […] The pool/deck area is in desperate need of a deep cleaning and landscaping. We arrived to beer cans, beer caps, and lots of trash. Several of the lounge chairs are broken and should really be removed from the deck. Overall of course we had an incredible time […] For a home this outdated, the price was too high for us to consider using this property again.

We had a wonderful stay here with our large 4 family group. Plenty of space for everyone, lots of pool/beach toys, easy beach access, and the AC worked amazingly well. We all really enjoyed our time here and would love to return!

Loved the house, great amenities, great location! Unfortunately, there was construction on a new home the owners were building next door that greatly took away from our vacation. But even with that we were going to rebook for 2025 until we saw the price jump from $8,000 to $18,000 for the same week in May. We'll have to look elsewhere!

The location was excellent. Lots of issues with this property. Needs lots of updating. TV difficult to use. Several times we could not even turn it on. Furniture is old and nasty. Sinks don’t drain, some lights don’t work, dishwasher doesn’t work well, carpets are old etc. wouldn’t rent this one again!!

Island Paradise was perfect and well equipped for our large family….great space, beach access, pool, games and playroom, two fridges, ice machine, elevator and location close to town.

We’ve stayed at this property two years in a row now. The size of the home and location are great. House also has a lot of nice amenities. It is in need of some updating (carpet, furniture, kitchen cookware) especially considering the amount of money charged.

Great location

Having never stayed in Top Sail before we weren’t sure where to stay but found this house to be in a great location. Easily got to anywhere we decided to go. Loved the private beach access and pavilion. Well equipped kitchen, plenty of rooms and bathrooms. Would definitely book again.

We loved the ice machine and gazebo at the end of beach walk.

This house is perfect for our sized family. There is a pool (a little small) and a big hot tub. I loved that there was an ice machine, so no daily trips to get ice, but its on the lowest level. The kitchen is on the highest level, so you need to make trips up and down the stairs. There is an old pier pilings in the ocean under the water in front of the home, so you need to move to the left or the right of the home to swim. They have signs posted where not to swim. I loved having a taco place 50 feet from the property with live music. We played corn hole on the drive way listening to great live music and our own personal beverages. We love Topsail its a quiet smaller ocean front town with one putt putt place and no high rise hotels. Unfortunately, we can not book this house again for next year, because of a 50% increase in price.

We loved the size of the house, and the game room was great.

This was a great location for our extended family ranging in age from 2 years to 58 years! The common spaces were great with lots of room to eat together. The hot tub and pool were great amenities that were used often as well as the great covered space to store our beach stuff each day instead of lugging it up to the house. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of space to cook (which we do every night). The 2 dishwashers were nice, but the one of the left of the sink wasn't working well (no drying ) and didn't get the dishes completely clean (we just rinsed really well and had to hand dry after it ran). There was construction going on next door with loud banging starting at 8am every morning, which isn't the owner's fault, but just be aware in the next month or so. The access to the beach was great and was truly beachfront. There are plenty of bathrooms, which is needed with so many people staying in one house. We weren't able to use the elevator due to the new law put in place, but were compensated for this. You WILL get a workout on the steps, but we figured we needed it with all of the food and beverages that were consumed over the week! Thank you for a wonderful time!

We are a family of 14 and stayed very comfortably in this property It is a big space and there were plenty of rooms to either gather everyone or for folks to do their own thing The kitchen was well stocked with appliancescutlerydishes etc Having an elevator for people and stuff make life much easier The ocean view and access is superb We were really happy to have that amount of space so close to the beach The owners have very thoughtfully supplied games billiards air hockey beach toys for renters to enjoy The house does suffer from small but annoying maintenance issues that were not resolved during our stay The ice makers did not work One of the dishwashers also did not work Some parts of the house are a little rough around the edges To their credit some other items were pointed out and quickly fixed Two other issues to point out1 The house is next door to a bar that has live music on some nights The music would cut off at 10 pm so it wasnt a huge problem for us But I can see how some folks might be annoyed by it 2 You are not supposed to swim directly in front of the house There are pilings from a pier that was destroyed a few years ago and they would be very dangerous in pounding surf Thus while you can occupy space on the beach you must walk about 30 ft in either direction to swim So id have probably given it a five but for the issues above […]

This is our first time at this house We were on Topsail in 2014 but needed a bigger space This house was great Allowed everyone to have their own space and easy walk to beach We loved this house as it has many features that would be good for families with young ones Gates on main living area make it very safe Only one way to get to beach and pool which made us feel very good about keeping an eye of the little ones Had booster chairs roll away bed and a kitchen that was very well stocked Little ones loved the pool area and teenagers enjoyed beach pool and hot tub Adults enjoyed all the space and things to do with family Only complaint we heard was noise below early riser39s walking around upstairs could be heard downstairs there is not much anyone could do about this […]

This has been our sixth or seventh time to Topsail We liked this house but the internet didn39t work until Thursday and we had to have someone stay inside to wait on cable people rental people Plus the main tv wasn39t working right away either […]
