Farther south, the shoreline opens around the area many people know as the Point. Now protected as Topsail Nature Preserve, this stretch of beach, dunes, wetlands, and inlet shoreline transferred to North Carolina management in 2026. The Preserve remains a place for responsible public access and coastal stewardship. It is a reminder that one of Topsail Beach’s greatest attractions is not something built for visitors, but a living landscape worth treating with care.
