New River Inlet Rd. 2378 - Kokomo

Kokomo is near the end of the island, at the point where Topsail meets the New River Inlet. That spot gives the house a wide view in two directions: the open Atlantic in front and the inlet off to the side. The decks, the great room windows and the window in the primary bath all face the water.

The beach and the decks
Kokomo is oceanfront, with beach access from the property and an outdoor shower for rinsing off on the way back up. The king and queen bedrooms on the second level open onto a covered oceanfront deck. One floor up, the living room opens to a sun deck with outdoor seating, and there is a grill for dinner.

The game room
The ground level is an indoor-outdoor game room with a Ping-Pong table, foosball and a putting area, plus a full bathroom with a step-in shower.

The main living level
The third level is where everyone gathers. The kitchen has a double farmhouse sink, an electric range, a convection microwave, a dishwasher and a wine fridge. The dining table seats 8. The living room has a large sectional, a big TV and its own door to the sun deck. A full bathroom with a shower is on this level too.

Where everyone sleeps
Five bedrooms and two twin sleeper ottomans sleep up to 15.
Second level
Guest Suite 1: twin-over-full bunk bed
Guest Suite 2: king bed, opens to the covered oceanfront deck
Guest Suite 3: queen bed with its own bathroom, opens to the covered oceanfront deck
Suites 1 and 2 share a Jack-and-Jill bathroom with a jetted tub and a separate shower. The queen bathroom has a tub and shower.
Third level
Living room: convertible twin sleeper ottoman
Fourth level
Primary suite: king bed and a convertible twin sleeper ottoman, with a smart TV and its own bathroom with a soaking tub, a tiled shower and an ocean-facing window
Guest Suite 4: full-over-full bunk bed, plus a crib

Good to know
The end of the island comes with a sandy drive. When the tide runs high, only four-wheel-drive vehicles can reach the front door, and cars with low clearance may need to park on the cul-de-sac about 50 steps away. Tidal water can also come into the ground-level game room, so keep belongings off that floor.
Plan on stairs. The kitchen is on the third level and the primary suite is on the fourth.
Up to two dogs are welcome.
Linens and bed making are included.
Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a washer and dryer, and a crib are provided.
The house is non-smoking, events are not permitted, and the person renting must be at least 25.

The view at the end of the island is the reason to come, and Kokomo has it from every deck.
