Ocean Chateau puts its kitchen, living room and two dining tables on the fourth floor, the top of the house, with views of the ocean. Ten bedrooms fill the two floors below, and an elevator runs to every level.

The beach and the water
Ocean Chateau is oceanfront on Island Drive in North Topsail Beach, with the beach directly behind the house. Walk over the dunes to the sand, then come back up for a soak in the hot tub. Guests can also use a seasonal community pool. The house has several decks, including one on the fourth floor with seating and an outdoor dining table.

The top floor
The living room, kitchen and dining area share one open level with ocean views, and sliding doors lead from the living area out to the deck. The kitchen has stainless appliances, generous prep space and seating at the island. Two dining tables mean breakfast and dinner can happen on the same floor as everything else.

The game room
On the first floor, a converted garage is now the game room. It has a Ping-Pong table, foosball, a wall-mounted TV, lounge seating and bar seating, and it gives part of the group somewhere to go after the beach or during a passing rain.

Where everyone sleeps
Ten bedrooms sleep up to 26. Seven have a king or queen bed, and three are bunk rooms with two twin-over-twin bunk beds each.

On the second floor, each king room shares a Jack-and-Jill bathroom with a bunk room, and there is also a hall bathroom. In all, the house has eight full bathrooms and two half baths.

Good to know
The main living level is the fourth floor, and the elevator serves all four levels, which helps with luggage and groceries.
The community pool is seasonal and shared.
Pets are not allowed, and the house is non-smoking.
Events are not permitted, and the person renting must be at least 21.
Linens and bed making are included.
Self check-in uses a smart lock.
Wi-Fi, air conditioning, heating, a washer and dryer, a dishwasher and onsite parking are provided.
Fishing, golf and a public boat ramp are nearby.

At Ocean Chateau, everyone heads up to the fourth floor for meals and the ocean view, then back down to ten separate bedrooms at night.
