Twenty-eight people can stay together at Island Escape, so nobody gets sent to a second rental down the road. Four of its nine bedrooms line the ocean side of the first floor, and two bunk rooms with trundles take the overflow. An elevator handles the luggage, the coolers and the groceries.

The beach and the water
Island Escape is oceanfront in Hampton Colony, and the beach is reached straight from the property. The decks face the water, and so does the hot tub, which overlooks the Atlantic. Guests also have use of the Hampton Colony community pool, which is shared with the neighborhood. Fishing, golf and a public boat ramp are all nearby.

Inside the house
The great room is on the second floor, with a half bath off the main living area. The kitchen, dining and living areas are sized to bring a group this big together at mealtime, and the kitchen has a dishwasher and a coffee maker. When part of the group wants a change of scene, the game room and its ping-pong table are there. The house has cable TV, Wi-Fi, and a washer and dryer for the beach towels.
