The canal is the center of this Surf City house. From the screened porch and the decks you look out over the water, and the private dock is ready for time on the canal. Two king bedrooms and a bunk room keep the layout simple for a group of up to nine.

The water
9063 W 9th Street is canalfront, with its own dock and boating access. A public boat ramp, fishing and golf are all nearby. After a day on the water or at the beach, the outdoor shower has hot and cold water for rinsing off before you head inside.

Living, kitchen and outdoor spaces
The main level has an open living area and a full kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker, so whoever is cooking stays part of the conversation. The house also has an electric fireplace for cool evenings, plus cable TV and Wi-Fi for quieter nights in. Outside, the screened porch, a balcony and the decks give you places to sit with the canal in view, and there is room for outdoor dining.

The ground level has a game and storage room, which gives the group a second place to spread out.
