Surf City Surf School
Teaching since 2013 and owned by island native Cody Leutgens. Group sessions keep two or three students per instructor, from toddlers to grandparents.
Why guests book
Recent reviews come from parents who learned alongside their teenagers and from families whose kids were standing on the first lesson. Instructors get named again and again for patience, and for making a lesson work when the waves weren’t cooperating. Weather rescheduling comes up as easy.

Before you book
- Lessons run daily at 9, 12 and 2. Meet at the shop 15 minutes early, then walk to the beach together.
- Book group lessons online from May through July. Private lessons and off-season group lessons are by phone.
- No swim or cancellation policy is published; ask when you book.
