New River Inlet Rd. 1973 - A Beach Escape

At A Beach Escape, the ocean view comes with a seat. The primary bedroom on the top level opens to its own ocean-view balcony, and the front porch on the living level has Polywood pub-style seating that looks toward the ocean. Morning coffee has two good places to happen.

Ground level
The ground level has a one-car garage with a roll-up door and a washer and dryer for longer stays. After the beach, the outdoor sand shower rinses off the sand before anyone heads upstairs. A shady backyard gives the group, and the dogs, a little more room outside. Stairs lead from here to the living level.

The living level
The second level is where everyone gathers, with a porch on each side of the house. The front porch has the ocean view. Doors from the living room open to the shady back porch.

A dining nook with shiplap walls seats eight. The kitchen is built around an open work island and has a glass-top electric range, a microwave, a dishwasher, a refrigerator with a freezer, a stainless-steel sink and a coffee maker.

When the group wants to split up, there are two separate places to sit. The main living room has a sectional, a smart TV, a ceiling fan and roomy coffee tables for puzzles and board games. The bonus lounge has a sofa and its own smart TV. A full bathroom is on this level too.

Where everyone sleeps
Three bedrooms on the top level sleep 8.

Bunk room: two twin-over-twin bunk beds
The top-level bathroom has a step-in shower and a single vanity, and the primary bedroom has ensuite access to it. The second full bathroom is on the living level.

Beyond the beach
Topsail Island runs 28 miles between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway, with dunes, marshes and coastal communities. Fishing, golf and a public boat ramp are nearby, and local fishing guides can take you out on the water. Around the island you'll find locally owned shops and restaurants, the Missiles and More Museum, the Touch Tank Aquarium in Surf City and the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Center.

Good to know
Plan on stairs: the kitchen and living areas are one floor up from the ground level, and the bedrooms are one floor above that.
Up to two dogs are welcome, and a pet fee applies. Please pick up after them in the backyard.
Linens and bed making are included.
The house is non-smoking, events are not permitted, and the person renting must be at least 21.
Wi-Fi, air conditioning and parking are provided.
