Surf City Coffee

Surf City Coffee is a tiny, owner-run shop a short walk from the Surf City pier, filled with the work of local artists. Owner Pat Davis has been pouring coffee here since 2018, and plenty of families make it their first and last stop of every beach week.
What stands out
Visitors describe a warm welcome and an owner who remembers a once-a-year guest’s order. Gluten-free treats from a local maker come up often, along with smoothies and frozen mochas. It’s small and gets busy on summer Saturday mornings, so bring a little patience with a big order.
What to order
- Double-Fudge Mocha frappeRich and frozen; ask for an extra shot.
- Iced caramel coffeeA simple favorite on a hot morning.
- A fruit smoothieMango, strawberry, piña colada or blueberry pomegranate.
- Iced chai latteFrom the cold drinks list.
- Something off-menuThe shop encourages you to ask the barista for a special concoction.
- A gluten-free treatFrom Gluten Free by the Sea, a local baker whose goods are sold in the shop.
