The setting

Cafe tables sit apart from the play space, which is designed for children from about six months to six years. Grown-ups can carry drinks into the play area, but food stays at the cafe tables, and it’s socks or bare feet once you’re inside.

Before you go

• Play is paid and runs in sessions of about an hour and 45 minutes, with a short cleaning break between. Booking ahead is encouraged; walk-ins depend on space.
• Anyone can stop in for a drink to go. The play space is only for children with their grown-ups.
• Weekend afternoon sessions can close for private parties, so check before you go. No outside food or drinks, though water bottles and sippy cups are fine.
