Live Oak Bank Pavilion
Wilmington’s biggest stage opened on the Cape Fear River in 2021 with three sold-out Widespread Panic nights. It holds about 7,200 people in reserved seats and on the lawn, and draws stadium-level names.
Why families go
Fans love the river breeze and sunset views from the lawn, and the food trucks and drink stands keep the lines moving. The trade-offs are the size of the place: multi-stop bag checks, long entry lines, lawn chair rentals that can sell out, and a few trees that block lawn views. Arrive early and bring a low-profile chair.

Before you go
- Only low-profile lawn chairs (legs 9 inches or shorter), or rent one at the venue. No coolers or outside food; baby snacks are allowed in a clear container.
- Strollers are allowed on the lawn only, no wagons. Kids 2 and under are free on a lap.
